$1.7 Million Dollars
Have you been in a car accident and the neck pain and
headaches won't stop? Do your Drs. say that there is nothing
wrong with you because the MRI's, Brain Scans, Cat Scans,
PET Scans and x-rays don't show your injuries.
Introducing, the Digital Motion X-Ray that we have
in our clinic. There are only a handful of physicians
who have this technology throughout the entire country.
The Digital Motion X-Ray system has been used in courtrooms
across the country (see below) to prove permanent injury
to car accident victims. In some of these cases, these
injuries were missed by MRI, static x-rays, and CAT Scan
studies. Multiple major settlements and jury awards have
been handed down citing the Digital Motion X-Ray as the
piece of evidence that helped prove permanent injury to
the vehicle occupant.
The Digital Motion X-Ray is a flouro - based type of x-ray
system, coupled with digital and optic technology which
allows clinicians to view the spine in real time motion
at a rate of 30 x-rays per second. The procedure is performed
with the patient standing in weight-bearing position and
actively moving within the system. Simply put, it is a
movie of the spine in motion.
$1.7 Million settlement after Digital Motion X-Ray
confirms ligamentous injury. May 2, 2007
The patient was injured in a head-on motor vehicle accident
with both vehicles traveling at 60 MPH. The patient suffered
from head (brain), neck (ligamentous), upper and lower
back injuries. Patient's headaches persisted with no change
since the accident in spite of previous physical therapy,
rhinotomy surgery, multiple medications daily, numerous
MRIs, Brain Scan, CAT Scan, PET Scan and x-rays. The patient's
medical bills totaled approximately $44,000. Digital Motion
X-Ray revealed five (5) torn ligaments in the upper cervical
spine: interspinous ligament, posterior longitudinal ligament,
alar ligament and accessory ligament. In court, the patient's
Digital Motion X-Ray was demonstrated by projecting it
on a large screen to the jury. At mediation, CNA offered
the Plaintiff $62,500 to settle. On the courthouse steps
just before the beginning of the trial, CNA offered $850,000
to settle out of court. In this Circuit Court case of
State Steel Company vs. Stuart Jensen, the jury awarded
the Plaintiff $1.7 million.
